How Auto Prepped works

The user manual. Each page says what the product does today and, where something is not built yet, says so.

  • Getting started

Auto Prepped keeps track of the food you have put by, so it stays in date and you know how many days it would feed your household. This manual describes what the product does today. Where something is not built yet, it says so.

  • Adding items

How something in your cupboard becomes an item Auto Prepped knows about.

  • Understanding cover

Cover is the number of days your household could eat from what it has stored. It is one number today and a line into the future.

  • Plans

A plan is a store, not a menu: the pack quantities that would feed the people you name for the days you name. Auto Prepped compares it with what you already have in date and shows you only what is missing.

  • Rotation

A store only stays useful if what is about to go out of date gets eaten and replaced. Rotation is the product doing the noticing for you: it tells you what to use next, keeps the inventory true when you say you have used something, and queues a replacement so your cover does not drop.

  • Your photographs

Photographs of a kitchen are personal. They can show more than a tin: a letter on the worktop, a child, an address on a parcel. This page says exactly what Auto Prepped does with them, in four claims. Each claim is followed by the mechanism that makes it true, and where the product does not yet live up to a claim, the page says so. The same four appear on Settings → Photographs with the current state of each.

  • Billing

The free tier keeps a capped pantry in date. The paid tier removes the cap and adds plan generation, bulk capture and rotation automation as each of those lands. This page says how paying works and what happens when you stop.
